Raphael Preuschl 5-saitige Bass-Ukulele

Raphael was born in 1977 in Vienna, where he studied bass-guitar at the age of 14, and later continued studying upright-bass at the conservatory of Vienna. At the age of 15 he began performing live in various bands and soon became a high in demand bassist in the Viennese music-scene. As a member of the David Helbock-Trio (ACT), FAT (Alex Machacek), and Wolfgang Puschnigs Homegrown, among other groups, Raphael travels all around the world, performing at international Jazz-Festivals and giving masterclasses. Raphael is a pioneer and trend-setter in playing the bass-ukulele, which is a unique and huge sounding small-sized bass-instrument.
Since
2018 Raphael lives in the
south of France.
